Dear colleagues,

I am sorry for writing in English - my Ukrainian is quite bad, though I can read it.

I am trying to find out whether there are Ukrainian words having the following stress schema (the word I use, ступка, does NOT have it, I only use it as an example of what I am looking for):

однина: стУпка, стУпки, стУпці, ...
множина: стУпки, ступОк, стУпкам, стУпками, ...

The pattern is: all case-number forms have stress on the same syllable of the stem; there is an alternation zero-o/e in родовому відмінку множини; the stress falls onto this alternating o/e in родовому відмінку множини.

I was not able to find words like that either in Pogribnyj or here, and I have a strong suspicion that they do not exist. But in order to know for sure, I am asking about it here as well.

Can you think of such words? Even if you have a pattern like that in your speech and it is not supported by dictionaries - it is still very important.

P.S. There are three different patterns which do exist: like in ступка, when the stress falls onto the same syllable in all forms; and like in корчма, where the stress falls onto the alternating E (корчЕм), but it also varies between the singular and the plural (корчмА - кОрчми); and, finally, some words, in some dialects, allow, for instance, дІвки and дівОк, but have ending stress in all other plural forms - дівкАм, дівкАми, и т.д.

 Доброго усім здоров'ячка! Мене давно мучить питання - як вірно буде перекласти російське слово "курилка"? Тупо "місце для паління", чи може існує якесь більш підходяще слово? :)

Раніше я гадав, що в українській мові єодне слово "мене", але з нещодавно помітив, що є "мЕне" та "менЕ".
Приклад:
1) менЕ це не хвилює
2) це історія про мЕне

і так далі

вопріс:
чи є якісь правила урегулювання вживання?
чи тре відчувати просто?

Чи можна залишити такий зворот: "відповідальність перевізників у відношенні до пасажирів"? Чи має бути "стосовно пасажирів"?

як буде більш літературно - 'цигарка' чи 'сигарета'? бо я говорю 'цигарка', а мене не завжди одразу розуміють.
і також: 'палити' чи 'курити'?

в кого поблизу є свої чи родичів діти, які ходять до 1-3 класів, -- можна вас попросити сфотографувати / відсканувати обкладинки підручників?

Пiдкажiть, будь ласка, якi форми може мати слово ват (одиниця вимiру) та як вiдмiнювати це слово у множинi в Ор.в. та у Р.в.? Дякую за допомогу!;)

Шукаємо українські відповідники типових армійських вигуків (не матюків8). Наприклад: Aye! --> мор. (у відповідь на наказ командира) Есть! --> Так!? А Так точно!? А Отставить!? А.. Може, у статуті все це є? Дякуємо наперед.

Ось тут проводиться наступне опитування:  "Нужен ли русскому языку статус второго государственного на Украине?" Пропозиція заходити і  голосувати. А поза тим - всім вітання зі святами, що наближаються невідворотньо! ))

Часто зустрічаю обидва варіанти "їх" та "їхній" (тобто той, що належить їм). Який правильний? Чи обидва можна вживати?
